Ludwig von Mises exposes the Nazis

Ludwig von Mises left Austria for Switzerland when the Nazi Party took power in Germany. He knew the Nazis would move into Austria soon. In 1940, Mises moved to America, and warned Americans about the Nazi menace.

In 1943, Mises wrote “Omnipotent Government” to alert Americans to the nature of National Socialism as a totalitarian movement, and to call for the defeat of the German war machine.
