VoteVets.org is organized on behalf of US military veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. VoteVets.org has invited the candidates for President to submit statements to their blog on issues relevant to US military veterans. Five Democrats have posted statements; Ron Paul has also posted his commitments to veteran’s concerns http://www.vetvoice.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=78
The leading Republican candidates have declined to post comments on this blog, because VoteVets.org has worked bring the troops home.

As a VoteVets member, I was astounded that Mr. Paul was the only GOP candidate to participate in today’s forum at vetvoice.com.
The failure of the other GOP candidates to reach out to veterans is particularly galling, and confirms what I already know: Their policies don’t work, and no one will admit it or uphold accountability for the administration’s missteps in Iraq.
I don’t agree with everything Mr. Paul says/believes, but he’s the only GOP candidate I would even consider voting for if the election were today.
