Ron Paul: How a Fringe Politician Took Over the Web

During the 2004 election, a web-savvy campaign staff helped turn Howard Dean’s anti-war candidacy into the first online political phenomenon. But the Ron Paul frenzy seems to have sprung from the internet itself. Paul’s libertarian message – he is against big government, the war, and pretty much anything that costs taxpayers money – has attracted a group of anti-establishment, tech-savvy supporters who have taken everyone by surprise.

“The people who are actually working for the campaign are a little overwhelmed with what’s happening,” says Alex Wallenwein, a supporter who organized two of the 362 Meetup.com groups dedicated to Paul

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and he carries his banners openly. But the traitor moves among those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the galleys, heard in the very hall of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor—he speaks in the accents familiar to his victims, and wears their face and their garment, and he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation—he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of a city—he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to be feared.

    David’s comments about this article:
We are not spammers, and we aren’t “voting twice” (which isn’t possible because of IP addresses).
We are many thousands of supporters who have read his articles and speeches for many years.
Dr. Paul has a very large volume of work easily accessible on-line, in the form of articles, essays, and congressional speeches. He is an extremely prolific writer. His informative articles are picked-up by web site editors, and re-posted on various web sites all over the web. For many years, twenty or thirty web sites that I know of have routinely published his articles.
So…… why is everyone surprised to “discover” that he has a HUGE web following? Actually It’s no surprise at all.
We are the on-line people who pay attention to politics and spend time READING, while others are watching TV. The fact is that other politicians simply do not have the large body of authored work that Dr. Paul does have. Apparently they are too busy cutting deals and and shaking down donors to actually write books, essays, and sponsor legislation.
Doing a Google Search for “ron paul” produces more than 40,000,000 results. Check it out yourself.

Please learn more about this remarkable person. He is not a politician. He is a Statesman, author, educator, economist, physician (ob/gyn - 4,000 deliveries), US Air Force Flight Surgeon, United States Congressman for 19 years, intellectual, married to his lovely wife Carol Paul for 50 years, Christian father of five children (three of them are doctors), 17 grandchildren. He is a straight-up Constitutionalist.

If you think the present administration is bad, wait until you see the next one, such as a Hillary president, or a John McCain-Guiliani-Romney who all three want to nuke Iran. And if you didn’t know that, that’s because you didn’t watch the first three GOP debates.

The 2008 Presidency is all but nearly over. Hillary has the money, momentum, and the establishment connections to win the nomination. This isn’t Bill & Hillary’s first rodeo… Obama won’t even come close.
70% of the American people want us out of Iraq.
The only chance of beating Hillary is to nominate an Anti-War GOP Candidate.
Otherwise, Hillary will be your next president.
And despite her rhetoric, I assure you that she will NOT end the war.

If Hillary is our next president, it will be Business As Usual in DC. And she will manage to further destroy our precarious economy by forcing a National Health Care system down our throats. Doctors won’t be doctors anymore, as they will have to have government permission to prescribe tissue paper for runny noses.

It is not too late to save our Republic, but we have to stop expecting the Federal Government to “take care of us” from cradle to grave.

Are you aware that Habeus Corpus is DEAD?
Yes, George and our compliant congress eliminated Habeus Corpus while America was sleeping and watching TV.
I guess you are not familiar with the Military Tribunal Commissions Act of 2006?
