Libertarians for Ron Paul » 2007 » May
“…Ron Paul is to the Republicans of 2008 as Howard Dean was to the Democrats of 2004: the one candidate speaking out prominently against the war when his colleagues were silent or supportive. Since politics, like nature, abhors a vacuum, we shouldn’t be surprised that he’s starting to take off online.”
Micah Sifry continues his analysis of why the Netroots are climbing on Ron Paul’s bandwagon: http://www.techpresident.com/node/361#comment-675
Jim Pinkerton has a good column in “Newsday” on how Ron Paul is shaking up the race. He notes that “…Paul is viewed dimly by top Republicans - the party loyalists, social-issue-regulators and neoconservative militarists who have come to dominate the GOP.”

Michael Scheuer was head of the CIA unit monitoring Osama Bin Laden, and he has written to www.antiwar.com to back up Ron Paul’s contention that American foreign policy has motivated Islamic extremists to attack America.
He writes “… Representative Paul did all Americans an immense service by simply pointing out the obvious: Our Islamist enemies do not give a damn about the way we vote, think, or live. Though any country they ruled would surely not look like ours, they are motivated by the belief that U.S. foreign policy is an attack on Islam, its lands, and its believers. This, of course, is not to say that America is to blame for the war it is now engaged in…” read the rest here http://tinyurl.com/2lz62h
