Extremist Threat in Pakistan

Congressman Ron Paul has opposed the Iraq War because it has taken our attention and our resources away from the hunt for Osama Bin Laden, and the fight against Al Qaeda, the real criminals of 9/11.

Congressman Paul has noted that the U.S. government continues to regard Pakistan as an ally, and provide aid to its government, even as it tolerates a growing Taliban style Islamist movement, and may even be harboring Osama Bin Laden and associates. Paul also notes that Pakistan has nuclear weapons.

The Cato Institute has published several papers on the Extremist Threat in Pakistan: “Extremist, Nuclear Pakistan:An Emerging Threat” by Subodh Atal http://www.cato.org/pubs/pas/pa472.pdf

“The Real Threat of New Terrorism is From Pakistan” by Leon T. Hadar  http://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=6669

Ron Paul’s real concern with America’s security is drawing interest from Intelligence professionals and others who are concerned with the extremist threat to America.
